About the Competition

RELIGIOUS ATTACHÉ AT THE EMBASSY OF THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA IN KENYA

The Holy Quran Competition at the level of the Republic of Kenya, arranged and organized by the Religious Attaché at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Kenya, in cooperation with the Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims and the Jamia Mosque in Nairobi.

About the Competition

The Religious Attaché Kenya–Saudi Embassy Quran Competition is a prestigious annual event that celebrates the beauty and excellence of Quranic recitation, memorization, and Tajweed. This competition brings together participants from across Kenya to showcase their dedication to the Holy Quran.

Our Purpose

We aim to foster a deeper connection with the Quran among Muslims in Kenya, promote proper recitation techniques, and recognize outstanding achievements in Quranic studies. The competition serves as a platform for participants to demonstrate their commitment to Islamic education and spiritual growth.

Categories

Competition Categories

The competition features four categories based on the amount of Quran memorized. Each category is judged on recitation accuracy, Tajweed rules, and memorization quality.

Category One

30 Juz'

Memorization of the complete Qur'an (30 Juz') with recitation and Tajwīd

Category Two

20 Juz'

Memorization of 20 Juz' of the Holy Qur'an

Category Three

15 Juz'

Memorization of 15 Juz' of the Holy Qur'an

Category Four

5 Juz'

Memorization of 5 Juz' of the Holy Qur'an

Eligibility

Participation Requirements

Contestants must meet the following conditions to qualify for participation in the competition.

The contestant must be a male Kenyan citizen or a legal resident.

Must complete the registration form and attach one of the following: National ID, Birth Certificate, or Passport copy, plus a coloured passport photo.

Contestants in Category One (30 Juz') must be under 24 years of age.

Registration must be submitted through the official online form before the deadline.
